Unit 3

Human Physiology Unit 3

General Notes About Unit 3

Unit 2 is about communication and chemistry and imagining that which we cannot see.  Unit 3 is a breath of fresh air - literally!  The themes in this unit are mechanical and much easier to understand... pumps, tubes, fluid, resistance, pressure, flow and of course, more gradients.  The good news is that much of what we will cover in our study of the heart and cardiovascular system will also hold true in the respiratory system... the difference being that fluid is not compressible while air is.  So get ready for some physics!
